Lake Muskoka

By far the largest of The Big 3, Lake Muskoka is located between Port Carling and Gravenhurst, Ontario. The lake is primarily within the boundary of the Township of Muskoka Lakes, but portions are found within the boundaries of the Town of Gravenhurst and the Town of Bracebridge.

The town of Bala, famous for its bakeries, cranberry marsh, and the “Kee” is located on the southwest shores of Lake Muskoka, where the primary outflow of the Moon River starts.

Lake Muskoka is connected to Lake Rosseau through the Indian River and the lock system at Port Carling. It is mainly fed by the Muskoka River, Lake Joseph, and Lake Rosseau.

From island cottages to bay and peninsula homes, Lake Muskoka boasts unique architectural properties and its wide-openness makes it perfect for water adventures of all kinds.
